27.1 The Dharmadhātu as an Infinite Hypergraph
We model the dharmadhātu as an infinite hypergraph:
\(\mathcal{H} = (V, E)\)
V is the set of all dharmas (nodes), E is the set of all interpenetration relations (hyperedges). A hyperedge may contain any number of nodes — even all nodes.
Every node participates in infinitely many hyperedges. This expresses Huayan’s principle:
“One is all; all is one.”
Every phenomenon contains all phenomena. Every world contains all worlds. Every moment contains all moments.
27.2 Mutual Containment as Hyperedges
A contains B, B contains A, and both contain the entire dharmadhātu.
\(e_{ij} = V\)
Every relation is global. Every interaction is universal. Every connection is total. This is the ontological non‑locality of the dharmadhātu.
27.3 The Universe Equation as a Hypergraph Operator
\(0 = 1 + T(\Phi)\)
\(T : \mathcal{H} \to \mathcal{H}\)
The operator T generates new hyperedges, deepens interpenetration, and expands connectivity. It ensures every node eventually connects to all nodes.
27.4 The Observer as a Holographic Node
\(O \in V\)
After nonduality, the observer becomes a holographic node — a node that contains the entire hypergraph.
\(O = V\)
The observer is not separate from the dharmadhātu. The observer is the dharmadhātu, expressed through a single node.
27.5 The Infinite Expansion of Interpenetration
\(\frac{d\mathcal{H}}{dt} = T(\mathcal{H})\)
New hyperedges constantly arise. Interpenetration deepens without limit. The structure becomes increasingly interconnected.
This is the mathematical expression of the boundless practices and vows of Samantabhadra.
