I adorned buddha‑lands with great compassion, rescued beings, taught and accomplished them, offered to buddhas, served good teachers, sought the true Dharma, proclaimed and protected it, and relinquished all inner and outer possessions, even life itself, without regret. If one were to speak of these causes for aeon‑oceans, the aeon‑oceans could be exhausted, but these causes could not be exhausted.

In my ocean of Dharma, there is not a single word or sentence that was not obtained through relinquishing all possessions, even the throne of a wheel‑turning king. All Dharma I sought was solely to rescue all beings. I contemplated: ‘May all beings hear this Dharma. May wisdom‑light illuminate the world. May supramundane wisdom be revealed. May all beings attain happiness. May all praise the virtues of all buddhas.’ Such causes from inconceivable aeon‑oceans cannot be fully spoken.”
